Question: Why does my dell laptop reboot by touching palm rest?

I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 and here lately it has developed an issue that when booted up and running fine... if I just touch the palm rest or even slightly tap on my actual desk (like if I set a glass down or drop a pen on the desk and so on)... the laptop instantly reboots and sometimes won't post if done over & over to where I have to hold in the power button to power down to reboot. Any ideas why? Please don't just say "Buy another laptop " or "Your laptop is shot " or whatever. I'm wanting to know possibly why this is happening. Thank you. |
